Using multi-functional furniture just makes sense in a small space. Get seating, accent furniture, or decorations that also double as storage to eliminate as much clutter as possible.

Whether it’s carpet with a pattern or hardwood, laying the pieces diagonally will create an impression of a larger room. This optical illusion works because the widest part of the pattern will be facing the door, so guests will be looking down into the pattern and feeling like the room is larger than it is.
