What is Laminate Flooring?

When it comes to choosing new flooring material, it’s important to know what it’s made of and the advantages and disadvantages of each type of flooring. Laminate flooring has a long history of being recognized as a versatile flooring option. Quest Interiors often recommends laminate flooring because of the variety of benefits of selecting laminate flooring. Here’s our insights into those flooring advantages.

What is Laminate Flooring Made Of?

Laminate flooring is made to look like real wood, using synthetic materials. Laminate achieves the real wood look by a photographic applique layer under a clear protective layer. However, even though laminate is synthetic, it typically has a core made out of wood materials.

How Do You Take Care of Laminate Flooring?

Laminate flooring is fairly easy to maintain compared to other types of flooring. Sweeping and then using a mop that is almost dry to touch is the best way to clean your laminate flooring. Unlike hardwood floors, you will never have to reseal or use protective cleaners or glosses on laminate floors.

What Are The Pros And Cons of Laminate Flooring?
